Welcome to Wellington Sri Lankan School (WSLS) home page.
WSLS is the only Sinhala language school operates in Wellington,
New Zealand. WSLS is a registered charitable organization. The
school is in operation for the past 14 years serving Sri Lankan
community living in greater Wellington area.. Currently the school
operates at Tawa College premises, on Sundays.. The current roll of
the scholl is over sixty students age from 5 to 16 years. The School
curriculums covers Sinhala language, Sri Lankan music and culture.
Apart from learning at school, we organize cultural activities. These
activities are placed in the school calendar to align with festivals in
the Sri Lankan calendar. By this act especially the children get the
flavour of their culture and the background that they come from.
